  Awesome atmosphere and good service! DANIQUA AND DANIEL ARE LITERALLY THE BEST SERVERS IN MARICOPA!!!! PATIENCE AND EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE BEST PLACE TO HAVE DRINKS. THEY TAKE GREAT GREAT CARE OF YOU! DANIQUA AND DANIEL have the patience of saints. Great food, great service, and amazing atmosphere.

  So I normally don't complain about local businesses unless I really have a reason to, especially one I have previously had such good experiences at. But this one was so horrible I will probably never go back.
  
  Last night after a lot of convincing I talk my boyfriend into going to True Grit. He's doesn't like the bar scene but I told him it wasn't like a normal bar and the food was good and cheap.
  
  First thing we notice is the $18 burgers. Are they joking? I can literally drive 20 miles to Chandler and have myself a steak dinner for less. Burgers were out.
  
  However they still have the jalapeño poppers I love which were the same price. Let me tell you, the price was the only thing the same. The poppers were 1/3 of the original size and you only got half as many. WTF.
  
  Now for the gross part. About 5 minutes we sat down we finally got served. I asked for water with lemon. 5 minutes later when our drinks came, no lemon. I asked again. 15 minutes later I walked to the bar to ask for some. The lady behind the bar, who was doing non food related stuff, reaches in with her unwashed hands and gives me a handful of lemons. Clearly I'm not going to use these but I'm also not in the mood to give a lesson on basic hygiene and food practices. Ten minutes later my server finally remembers I asked for lemons and brings me 2 slices. Great. Except, he set them on the table. ON THE TABLE. After he carried them over in his bare hands, after I just watched him touch someone else's card and cash and touch all that stuff.
  
  This place used to be my local hang out with friends to grab and beer and dinner. Apparently it's now under new ownership. The service is horrible and not to mention disgusting. The menu is outrageously priced for the portions and what they offer. To top it off they want to buckle and dime you for every sauce cup you ask for and only bring them almost half full.
